# Padelato > Free web app for running padel Americano and Mexicano tournaments from a phone: fair draws, courtside scoring, live standings and a read-only live link the whole group can follow. No accounts, no install. https://padelato.com/ Padelato runs entirely in the browser. Enter the players and courts, pick a format, and it draws the rounds, takes the scores and keeps the standings. Everything autosaves on the device; a backup can be exported and imported. ## Formats - Americano: a new partner every round; a match is a rally race to a combined total (e.g. 24 points); each player banks their team's score and the highest individual total wins. - Team Americano (fixed pairs): partners stay together all session and rotate opponents; standings are by team. - Mixed Americano (two groups): partners rotate, but every pair is one player from each group. - Mexicano: round 1 random, then each round is drawn from the live standings (1st+4th vs 2nd+3rd per court). - Pickleball Mexicano: pick Pickleball on the first screen; side-out games entered as the final score (to 11, 15 or 21, never a tie), ranked by wins or fewest losses, then losses (or wins), then points scored, then head-to-head, else a shared rank; optional knockout after the last round. ## Rules the app applies - Fair draws: nobody sits out twice in a row (when most of the group must rest each round, whoever just played sits out next and nobody waits much longer than the rest), games per player stay within 1, partners repeat only when unavoidable. - Re-draws: an unscored round can be re-drawn; Undo re-draw steps back through every earlier draw of the round, Redo forward again, until a score is entered. - Knockout: after the last round a final (1st+3rd vs 2nd+4th), semis (top 8) or quarters (top 16) seeded from the standings, for every format and both sports; padel knockout games are scored in games (first to 6 by default, any score, no ties), pickleball one game to the target; winners and runners-up are named, the earlier games shown with scores, the standings keep the regular rounds only. - Scoring: rally points (combined total per match) or games (first to N games). - Tie-breakers: total points, then point difference, then wins (or wins first). - Sitting out: half the match points per rest by default (resting neither costs nor pays); optional none, or the player's own average. Credited when the round is finished; rounds played before a late joiner arrived count as rests. - Serving: one player serves 4 points in a row, then the serve crosses to the other team; partners alternate. ## Pages - App and rules: https://padelato.com/ (the "Rules & help" sheet holds the full rules text) - Live links: https://padelato.com/t/ - read-only, per tournament, not indexed (they carry player names) ## Guides Step-by-step guides for first-time hosts, from what the formats are to running the night. - [How to run a padel Americano or Mexicano: the guides](https://padelato.com/guides): Step-by-step guides for hosting a padel Americano or Mexicano: the formats, scoring and serving, rounds and sit-outs, variants, late arrivals and the standings. - [What is a padel Americano?](https://padelato.com/guides/what-is-padel-americano): A padel Americano explained for complete beginners: what happens on the night, how partners rotate, how you score and win, and what you need to start. - [What is a padel Mexicano?](https://padelato.com/guides/what-is-padel-mexicano): A padel Mexicano explained for complete beginners: how the standings pick each round, why the first round feels random, who sits out, and who it suits. - [Americano or Mexicano: which should your group play?](https://padelato.com/guides/americano-vs-mexicano): Padel Americano vs Mexicano in one table: partners, opponents, schedules and who each format suits, plus how to combine them with a final at the end. - [How to run a padel Americano, step by step](https://padelato.com/guides/how-to-run-a-padel-americano): Run your first padel Americano in eight simple steps: players and courts, points, rounds, the draw, the three rules to explain, scores and the final table. - [How to run a padel Mexicano, step by step](https://padelato.com/guides/how-to-run-a-padel-mexicano): Run a padel Mexicano step by step: players and points, the random first round, re-drawing each round from the standings, fair sit-outs and when to stop. - [How does scoring work in a padel Americano?](https://padelato.com/guides/americano-scoring): Padel Americano scoring explained: how a match to 24 points ends, what each player banks, whether a 12-12 draw counts, and how to choose 16, 21, 24 or 32. - [Who serves in a padel Americano?](https://padelato.com/guides/americano-serving-rules): Padel Americano serving made simple: four serves each, then the serve crosses the net.
